I couldn't believe Disney did it. They usually always took great care with their animated films but this one looks like they could care less. Does anyone else agree?

I 100% disagree with you. The animation is excellent and true animated talent. If you want an example of bad animation than it is atalntis or the hunchback. Once again the animnation is splendid the rough pencily lines are just perfect.

Like a different poster already pointed out, this was made during a tough era for animation even at Disney.
There was no way that this movie could have looked better than it does, if it was made back then.
