Robert Reed was gay in real life but was Mike Brady secretly gay? We never see him and Carol get intimate, so maybe they married each other because they wanted to raise their kids in a two-parent household. It would have been funny if it was revealed that Mike was secretly having an affair with Sam the Butcher.

For a 60s sitcom, it was rare to see married couples sleeping in the same bed. The Brady’s not only shared a bed, but there were a lot of scenes shot in the parents bed room. That alone lead me to believe that they had a fairly healthy sex life.

Sure you could - you just need to lock the bedroom door and be vewy vewy qwiet (with apologies to Elmer Fudd).
The older kids had dates a fair number of evenings and the younger kids hung out with friends away from the Brady house. Worse case scenario Mike paid to send all six to the movies for a few hours. Alice had her evenings with Sam. Mike and Carol given that they were most likely over the age of 40 had all the alone time they wanted. I was more worried about John and Olivia Walton or Charles and Caroline Ingalls having alone time.
