Did this really need to be re-made?
I don't think so classic movies are classic for a reason.
And if they needed to remake it, they should have cast someone better than Steve Martin.
It was decent, but not a patch of the original. I don't mind new interpretations of classics every generation or so, to see an update in a contemporary setting. At the very worst, it gives people work, and sometimes they hit the jackpot. People can choose to watch them or not.
