Wow was Las Vegas Boring As Hell in 1960 or what?
The music and background acts were horrible, and the first hour of this movie is tedious beyond belief, it has certainly not aged well at all

shareOh, please! I'd much rather visit the 1960's Vegas than the modern one for the simple fact that it was a much smaller city and had a slower pace than today. I'd also rather listen to that "horrible music" as you call it than the crap called music today!
shareI went to Vegas recently and we ate out every night and my favorite place was an Old Italian hole in the wall that had been there since the 60’s.
shareOne of the old Las Vegas lounge acts that became famous was Louis Prima and Keeley Smith. No better music than that other than Sinatra. LOVE that stuff.
shareGreat cast, great idea, poor script.
shareYeah, people actually sang back then.
shareWould rather listen to that old music than the shit that plays there now Celine Dion for example.
shareSomeday, someone will be as dismissive of what this generation thinks is the absolute best.
All goes around.
I agree that it hasn't aged well. It was a middling script to start with, and the whole enterprise was based on people wanting to be part of the Rat Pack, and enjoying a movie that made them feel cool by association.
It was a film that was totally of its time, and a few films that are completely of the moment age well, but most don't. "Ocean's 11" didn't age well and neither did the Rat Pack, but I recently saw "A Hard Day's Night" on Youtube, and it was literally made about a fad that lasted a couple of years, but it's still fun. A good movie can be about absolutely anything, as long as it's good.
