Terrible movie!!

I just saw the restored print at New York' Film Forum. This was a snoozer. I was bored out of my mind. The first thing that's wrong with this movie is its near 3-hour running time. There's no reason why this relatively small movie needed to be 3 hours.

It was episodic and pointless. I'm a cinephile, and love great movies and classics, but I have to say I have never been a Fellini fan. He's a stylist, but not much of a storyteller.

I don't have a signature.

IMO this is one of the greatest films ever made.

I watched this film again quite recently. It is a film you are best served by almost letting it envelope you while of course maintaining attention to it. It is not a film to watch casually while it simultaneously has that kind of thematic atmosphere that you should best experience by giving yourself over to it.

The length is also problematic for a large chunk of today's attention span challenged audience. It's not for everybody even though I think it is a great film.
