Are Beach House the greatest currently performing music act?

I mean excluding past it bands still touring on past glories or even - even worse! - guys like Neil Young, etc peddling new material no one wants to hear. Also excluding manufactured crap like Harry Styles, etc.

Are Beach House the greatest act you could see live now, whom the kids in future generations would say "I wish I could have seen them live back in 202x".

I think probably so. Who would the other contenders be?

Love me some Beach House, as to your question, hard to say, I think there are a few bands who would give them a run for a more than memorable live performance, Puscifer, Arctic Monkeys, M83, Nine Inch Nails…
As to the greatest currently performing music act, I think that’s a bit too constrictive a classification in regards to the subjective nature of music.

Well of course musical tastes and opinions are subjective but the "currently performing" bit was just meant to exclude the bands of yesteryear who will tour until their graves. Including them would be another question altogether...

I guess bands who could make an album today which would be viewed as part of their classic output for future generations would be another way to put it.
