I'm glad too. I have no interest in the movie, but she's a local gal from an ordinary middle-class family.

I'd rather see her do well, than the millions of Nepo Babies.

Why would she have to trick people? Apparently there's a billion women out there who were desperate for entertainment that's pink and sparkly and feminist!

Like her or not she is in the big league now, there will be a lot of high profile blockbuster type movies coming her way.

Is she a solid director or just an one hit wonder? That remains to be seen.

I watched her Lettermen interview, I think she was a total geek, that could be the sign of substance. She is definitely not there because her social skills or smooth talking.

Most people had heard of her. Her other movies were hits, just not blockbusters.
