Michael Madness Minions (Otherwise known as supporters!)

I would like to offer my support for Michael Weatherly. I may be one voice...but I do know people and the old adage does apply that if I continue to tell one person and they tell one person and so on and so on...now that we have that out of the way.

I find all this negative tripe regarding the most awesome video he made with Sarah Silverman quite ridiculous! I can tell from varied posts that they did not even watch the video much less understand the message that was there.

It is a shame that Michael is apparently not allowed to have an opinion unless it jives with what the naysayers are calling 'Christian'. Frankly I do not see their behavior as being anywhere near Christian and have stated that to them whenever I am offered the chance.

They missed the message of the video completly, which was a shame as it indeed embodied the Christian spirit that they are going on about. But they will continue to hide behind their religious words and continue to encourage, whether by their intention or not, the intolerance and oppression that is unfortunately prevalant everywhere.

I am sorry that you have had to endure more harsh words directed at you and the boycotts and banning that they are attempting to create. You have the right to your own personal opinion as well as the right to speak up for what you believe.

Thank you for not backing down or taking the easy road! You are someone to be admired for you strength and loyalty to friends. Thank you!I for one will offer whatever I am able since your hands will be tied (so to speak) and unable to speak as freely as you might like! No worries...I've got your six!

I loved the video even more the second time around! His Jesus was loving, funny, and *human*.

It is a shame some people can only find hatred in their hearts and insist upon unreasonable demands which they are in no position to make. He doesn't owe anyone an apology.

I firmly believe that Michael did a very brave thing participating in this project, knowing it was a controversial issue and that he would have to face the vitriol of the hypocrites the video called out for their actions. For standing up against oppression, I found myself loving him even more, if that were possible!

I am proud to have his six, also.

Definitely.

Thankyou, Mr Weatherly, for standing up for the rights of women.

Rights that people claiming to be Christians believe should be denied to women.

I agree with all of you!
Michael has got my support too.

I like the video. I've seen it a few times, and every time it makes me laugh.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I think banning and boycotting is overreacted. They totally missed the message of the video.

Michael, you have another one on your six!!

I too support the right of Michael Weatherly and Sarah Silverman to express their beliefs through this rather light hearted and funny video that carries a serious message. These so called "Christians" who are calling for Weatherly's head on the block always seem to have their panties twisted in an angry wad about something. Gay marriage, raising minimum wage, immigration, women's reproductive self determination, Obamacare, you name it - they can spew a hate filled rant. Generally speaking whatever it is they are against is an issue that if supported, will empower people (other than themselves). But I guess anything that doesn't fit into their narrow and tiny little viewpoint is a threat to the control they so desperately seek.

My family has for generations fought the good fight, I hope Michael continues to as well. Freedom of speech applies to everyone not just a chosen few. Michael I have your six, and I will fight for your right to say what you believe even if others don't agree with it.

I totally agree with you. I am in the UK and am a christian and found it funny. I also found it was a good way of pointing out that everyone had the right to have their own opinion. Michael I am behind you 100% and will always will be.

I for one APPLAUD Michael for taking a stance on this issue.
I AM a christian and found it neither blasphemous nor offensive. It was a light hearted attempt at highlighting a serious issue that women everywhere face.
Those 'so-called' christians that say it is an affront to God...you remind me of Pharisees in the temple. Saying God would not like this and that...Jesus himself, the 'CHRIST' in CHRISTian. Ignored them, HE was the one who held out his hand to the poor and the prostitute showing them compassion and forgiveness.
Surely that compassion is what you should be feeling, showing that you understand that people have a different point of view from yours but should you should be tolerant and understanding BECAUSE that IS what Jesus would do.
NOT stirring up hatred on every forum or platform that you can find.
If you wish to uphold the values of CHRIST then please DO SO. if not then do not call yourself a Christian.
This was one woman's opinion on an issue she felt passionately about and her intention was to enlighten and inform others. To show how a woman can be subjected to some times a horrific situation, A woman is NOT always a willing participant in conception and access to health centers for women is very important.
Michael's wife is a doctor and as such he probably has more of an insight into these issues than most. HE is standing up for access to health care for all. and he was PLAYING A ROLE....that people is his job.
In this time of economic austerity do you really expect him not to take a job about something he may feel passionate about something because it could offend.
Remember....Jesus offended the establishment in his time while pushing the teachings of God.
Was Jesus wrong?

I definitely do not agree with the pro-abortion slant of the video - however that's Silverman's issue...

MW though has my support in this
