What you wish for tells a lot about you.

I'm a lifelong Republican but even if I didn't vote for Clinton, Obama, Biden etc... as soon as every Democrat took office, I wished and hoped for them to have enormous success in their Presidency and for the Country. If AOC wins the next election with Ilhan Omar as her running mate, I'm hoping for good strong policies and enormous success for the next 4 years.

There are Democrats and people on this board who wished that the Pennsylvania shooter would have had a better aim on President Trump. It amazes me that a great deal of Democrats and some people on this board would rather see this Country completely implode and fail just so President Trump fails. There are a great deal of Democrats and some people on this page that would rather see their neighbors struggle, their friends and family members struggle just so they get some sort of validation that President Trump failed.

This is far beyond TDS and well past politics.

If you are hoping that our next President fails miserably thereby causing this Country to suffer in the process then you yourself are suffering from a mental illness and you need help.

That’s why the past four years was a necessary evil, because it’s not enough to tell people, sometimes they have to see it and experience it. It was the only way.

Yet there are countless Democrats who believe the past four years were a success, and that Biden is a great president. You just can't account for stupid.

Well said and I honestly couldn't have said it better myself. It makes me wonder if in 2015, if Trump decided to run as a Democrat, would the left be freaking out like we see in 2024 heading into the New Year?? I suppose it would depend on who the Republican President was, but it's interesting given Trump donated to this Party for like EVER and they loved him and the moment he runs on the GOP side, he's the worst thing ever?? I think you are projecting. I don't know any Democrats who are hoping the country implodes. Maybe that's what you are hearing inside your conservative bubble, and maybe a couple of fringe people have said it but it's not something that is widespread.

When you say we should hope he succeeds and that he doesn't fail, can you elaborate? I mean, if he attacks social security, I certainly hope he fails. If he tries to take us out of NATO, I hope he fails.

I hope his policies help the country, but when they don't, I hope they fail. I don't think that's awful to say. Do you feel differently?

In an earlier post, I gave the below two scenarios of hypothetically what would happen if either candidate won. People on this board said they still would not vote for Trump. People on this board want this Country to fail. Get some help.

under the Harris/Walz administration...

Violent crime is at an all time high.
Unemployment is at an all time high.
Inflation is at an all time high.
Illegal border crossings are at an all time high.
The deficit is at an all time high.
The US is at war with Russia who is backed by China and the draft has been reinstated.

under the Trump/Vance administration...

Violent crime is at an all time low.
Unemployment is at an all time low.
Inflation is at an all time low.
Illegal border crossings are at an all time low.
The deficit has been cut by 1/4.
The US is not in any wars nor are we funding any wars.

Wow BicD, maybe you don’t know just how right you are! I live in Pennsylvania. I am acquainted with a woman who is older than I am. She’s in her seventies. She has a F*** Trump tattoo on her forearm. (and NOT the asterisks).

She’s also has many other tattoos and a peace sign tattooed on her head, so I am guessing a hippy dippy from the sixties who never quite matured.

She’s from the town where the attempted assassination took place, Butler. And she has said several times that she wished she had been there because “ I wouldn’t have missed”.

Really not something you should say about any President. I am no fan of Biden or Harris, it I would never wish that someone would shoot them .That is just so wrong on so many levels.
