I don't think he's ever going to be a big star again, Hollywood doesn't consider him to be a leading man type as he's short and geeky.

Well, he has enough money to do whatever he wants with his life, and if he wants to be a B-list actor, then that's what he wants to do. Frankly, being a character actor is probably a lot more fun than being a star, there's a lot less pressure and media bullshit to deal with.

A character actor is exactly what he is, but he hasn't had a really memorable role yet, in any film of note.
He might not be offered great material (nobody knows), but his luck needs to change. Like it did for Robert Pattinson.
He should try something like Adam Sandler did with Uncut Gems - it was non-stop and different.
