Ruined Fleetwood Mac's sound as soon as she came in.
They were a legitimate blues-rock band before her and then they turned into some lame soft rock band.

shareAll of you people talking trash about Stevie Nicks should really watch what you say about our beloved "Welsh Witch". She is protected by the Power of the Pentagram.
shareFleetwood Mac ceased being a blues band when Peter Green left in 1970. Stevie didn't join until the tail end of 1974. Bob Welch - a California native - joined in 1971 and steered the band's sound towards the FM soft rock music. A lot of his songs have the same mystical quality that is prevalent in Stevie's work. Welch was the one who convinced the band to relocate to Los Angeles from the UK in 1974, opening the door for Lindsey and Buckingham to join when Welch left. So many people overlook this mid-period of Fleetwood Mac. Listen to Heroes Are Hard to Find, Mystery to Me, Bare Trees, Future Games and Penguin. They're soft rock records.
Buckingham, Keith Olsen, Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut all had a hand in producing Fleetwood Mac's music from 1975, so it's dumb to blame Stevie. It's pathetic that older men are still bitching about a dead musician who left a band over 50 years ago and subsequently never did anything noteworthy again. Get over it already.
But it still took a huge dive when Stevie came in. I'm impartial to her vocals, but a lot of people really hate it which changed the entire tone of the band.
shareI much prefer Christine McVie's beautiful voice.
shareWhat!!?? She's awesome and was just here in St.Louis MO at the Enterprise Center back on May 7th..
shareI'm not a big fan of her but there are a few songs she put out that I love. I've always felt Christine McVie and Lindsay Buckingham were the best duo! Their voices blended together beautifully. Especially in "Hold Me".
shareWow, I guess I'm on the outside looking in because I quite enjoy Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks in general and so much, I wouldn't mind seeing her in concert with Billy Joel next year
