He sure does know, beyond cinema, a lot about life and humanity.

He is also often not afraid to refer to movies or at least relate to people finding them, at least some of them, "misogynistic" and even has criticized some films in his life as being that. But has he also wondered, can women also be as bad or as flawed as men and turn to dark sides, and if films as such depicting it all are normal, no matter how many evil men there are and how much female victimhood there is from their hands, as well as other examples as such? And is he, unlike certain fellas on the internet, someone who DOES know a lot about it?

Also, besides being a film critic, he apparently can read books too. And he also has a very strong stomach and an open mind and he would never for example put a film down for its extreme or other content.

And he maybe a straight guy too, but he has no problem with male on male sexual activity depicted in films and has even denounced and put down others for looking down upon such issue and without referencing "straight guy" male preferences including "hot women erotica" in cinema - but maybe because he is also an ADULT with a much more mature mentality in such area.

And he seems to be arguably these days UK's most LEADING film critic and I bet he made loads of money too, if not outright millionaire. But how true is it here, thanks. :)

In the below video, he talked about leaving the cinema before a film has finished because he objected to its content.

I'll look into it, thanks.

But he also praised films like Salo, Irreversible, Cannibal Holocaust, Baise Moi, Pink Flamingos and many others that have extreme and objectionable content.

Also, although he did not like A Serbian Film, he actually, much to the dismay of some, did not give it "the lowest possible rating" and has even found some merits in the amidst the flaws. He said for one that it was "technically well done". And he wasn't THAT offended by its disturbing and over the top content, whereas certain folks found it scarring for life etc etc.

I like Kermode. He also gets extra points because he's a massive horror fan.

I agree there. :)
