I don't get her appeal.
She's in every movie,tv commercials, etc. I don't understand it. She isn't pretty or likeable and there are better singers. A lot of actors are out of work and yet she is everywhere.

shareSame, I don't get it.
shareIt's funny how out of the whole Twilight cast she went on to have the most successful movie career. Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart did okay to, but I would've never guessed in a million years that Kendrick's career would get so big
shareI THINK ABOUT THAT MYSELF...AND IM A KENDRICK FAN,BUT DURING THE TWILIGHT DAYS,IF WE WERE BETTING ON FUTURE CAREERS,I WOULDNT HAVE EVEN THOUGHT OF HER.
shareshe IS everywhere i agree..
guess she's got the most connections.
Hollywood execs realized at some point in the last few decades that they could rake in more money by creating projects centered on more average looking people in addition to the ones with glamorous celebrities.
Now, these people are still better looking than 6 out of 10 people you'd see on the street, but they're not the 8+/10 knockouts you'd see in the past. So, by comparison they give people the impression they're watching a film starring someone who could be their friend.
These people give interviews where they feign vulnerability and tell self deprecating stories, and in general craft an image of being 'relatable'.
They use social media for this purpose as well, and the unsavvy public develop parasocial relationships with them.
I can't claim to be particularly smart or wise, but even in my lonely teen years, I never fantasized about being friends with people I saw on TV or in movies. I suppose, thinking about it now, I could hypothetically befriend some background extra with no speaking lines, but I don't have anyone specific in mind, and it would have to happen organically.
Not really pretty, but cute enough and a good actor/singer.
shareThe appeal is that she has that “innocent cute quirky” vibe about her. Sure she isn’t the hottest or plays those hot “eye-candy” type roles and you shouldn’t expect that from her.
But usually what I have seen her in, her characters are likable. And she doesn’t take herself too serious which is another bonus.
I agree with you - cute and very likeable.
sharebelow average actress
shareI DISAGREE...ALTHOUGH I THINK SHE WOULD PROBABLY AGREE WITH YOU...SHE IS VERY MODEST.
shareMost of our celebrity crushes are average, below average, or at most a little above average. It's almost an unwritten law. Alyssa Milano was my childhood celebrity crush, and admittedly, she isn't the most accomplished actress.
Kendrick is genuinely likable; she exudes a friend-next-door vibe. It's something. However, she doesn't display a broad range as an actress. I can't recall any truly remarkable performance from her. On the positive side, Anna didn't attempt to portray something she's not. I appreciate that authenticity in actors.
DUDE..ALYSSA MILANO👊🏾...WE HAD SIMILAR CHILDHOODS IN THIS REGARD...MY FIRST DOG WAS NAMED SAMANTHA ...WHO'S THE BOSS!...WOWZA...I ASSUME YOUR EARLY TEEN YEARS CONSISTED OF A LOT OF REPEAT VIEWINGS OF EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE AS WELL?
shareMilano was everybody crush in the 1980's-1990's. She is more than 10 years older than me and she still look amazing.

1995....GREAT YEAR...BOUGHT EMBRACE OF THE VAMPIRE ON VHS AT BEST BUY....MISS MILANO DID A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF NUDITY IN THE NOT SO GOOD MOVIE THAT I WATCHED 5000 TIMES.
