Titus

Has anyone seen the movie Titus? It was the first thing I ever noticed Laura in, and I was completely moved to tears. She did such an amazing job. Beautiful costumes also. I really recommend seeing it, if you have a strong stomach. Its a little disturbing, but very good.
What does everyone think?

I agree. I love her as Lavinia. Very sad character. I don't think I'd be able to act quitely like that pretending to have my tongue cut out. I talk too much so it'd be hard for me. I thought she was perfect. I thought everyone was perfect. I felt badly for the two brothers that died after Mutius. Quintus and Martius so sad, but that's how the play goes. I agree it's one of those movies that you have to have a storng stomach. Good movie though.

Love is a many splendored thing!

Yeah. Lol. I saw her in First Knight too that was weird. Probably not as weird as Titus.

I think one would have trouble finding something weirder than Titus.
Do you post on the Matthew Rhys board aswell? I was there a few days ago, and it seemed that there were about two people in total posting there...... your name looks like one of them, I can't remember if it was you or not.
Me, I really love all the acting in Titus, its amazing.

Yeah that's me. I agree I don't think anyone can find much of a weirder movie than Titus. Although I think Silence of the Lambs and things like that would be up there. Me too. I love the acting in Titus it's really good.

It's one of my all time favorite movies. Laura played Lavinia beautifully - completely stole every scene! and Ditto for Jonathan Rhys-Meyers! he was amazing!!

the depiction of her standing atop the stump with ribbon streaming from her wounds was... one of the prettiest things I have ever seen.

Her intense fear/anger/determination in the scene where she writes in the sand was REALLY well played.

does anyone know where to find a good still image of that scene? she did that role so amazingly and i was extrememly impressed, because it would be pretty difficult to portray it properly. but she did it, and blew it out of the water.

that scene where she stands on the stump is so haunting...
