How are there no posts here?
This guy is about as entertaining as filmmakers get.
shareI’ve only seen Buffalo 66. What do you recommend next?
shareDefinitely The Brown Bunny, followed by Tetro.
shareI have added them to my list. Thank you.
shareEnjoy. Also, you definitely don’t want to watch The Brown Bunny with any family around, especially kids and grandmas. Just a warning.
shareDon’t worry. I’ll take your advice and report back.
shareLooking forward to hearing your thoughts.
shareYou never reported back.
shareOh wow. Sorry I never replied back. I still haven’t seen anything but Buffalo 66 from Gallo.
I’m kind of a 60’s-80’s guy and after Buffalo 66 I just jumped back into my regular viewing patterns somehow. I’ll move those Gallo films back to the top of my to watch list since I’m like 2 years late though. 😀
Tetro- OK, definitely a great performance by Gallo here but the movie as a whole was a bit of a let down for me. It has it’s ups and downs and there is a lot to unpack but I won’t go into all that here. One things for sure is I feel like I could give Buffalo 66 countless viewings, where as I don’t think I’d watch Tetro again.
sharei liked palookaville.
shareHe's an indie dude all the way. Mainstream gets all the love, even on movie geek sites.
shareI don't know.
shareHe's back! https://www.indiewire.com/2022/02/daily-wire-film-conservative-shut-in-1234697971/
Gallo spent his nine-year break from acting selling $666 T-shirts with slogans like “Fuck Black Lives Matter.”
This article was a breath of fresh air. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the films they produce. Thanks for linking it!
shareHe is very entertaining but I think him having no filter burns a lot of bridges in the film business. I do like that he does not care what people think and says what is on his mind.
shareHe's a loose cannon for studios. It's a shame because I'd love to see him in more stuff
