I think this is a very lame Straw man thread started by the OP for his tiki torch buddies to take the bait. But to answer the bad faith topic anyway, it logically is a simple matter of there being a lack of opportunities to star in anything without a European co star since the heavy majority of potential leads in most projects will be comprised of that group. She has starred in films with other European women as co stars so it's not a gender thing either.

I can honestly say that it never occurred to me to sift through Cate Blanchett's filmography, diversity checklist in hand, to determine whether or not she has ever played leading lady to non-white actors. Never once, in all the years since I first heard the name Cate Blanchett, did such a thing even cross my mind. Nor, I might add, has I ever thought to do the same with any other actress.
