It would be easier for me to list his bottom 3... he hasn't done many bad movies.

The White Squall
The Counselor

All his other movies are good to excellent. Or at least interesting.

I haven't seen it, but I've heard that The White Squall is supposed to be really good.

From newest to oldest... (4, because he cannot be limited by 3)...

- Prometheus (misunderstood restoration and extension of the Alien series)
- A Good Year (highly underrated: redifined the romcom, by centering it on a masculine character, rather than the nerdy dim-witted half-men than usually are portrayed in these). Also, elevated by shooting it in a cinmatic style, rather than the usual TV aesthetic...
- Blade Runner (modern sci-fi classic)
- Alien (the sci-fi/horro classic, unsurpassed by any of the sequels)
