Happy Birthday!

i remember first seeing Charles Bronson in the Dirty Dozen as a kid and though he looked and sounded cool as hell. From then I tried to watch as many as I could, then we got a VHS player and I would go to my local VHS rental shop and see what new movies of his cam out. I never saw Death Wish #1 because it was banned here in the UK but did see Death Wish 3 and loved it,then it was the Machanic and as many as I could get my hands on. I finally got a copy of the whole Death Wish series on DVD and lots of his other work too. It was a very sad day the day we lost him but today is about remembering him and I will do by watching my favourite movies.

I loved him in Dirty Dozen. After having seeing him in the Death Wish movies, it was funny to see him without a mustache.

Happy Birthday, Paul Kersey. Bring heaven some justice.

It's weird that it's the anniversary of his birthday today. On a whim, last night I watched "Breakheart Pass," which was just added to Netflix in the past week. All morning I was pondering how the men of Hollywood today are nothing like the actors in the 60's and 70's.

Leading men are either sculpted in the gyms, like Ryan Gosling, or coiffed and combed like George Clooney. But a few generations ago, men like Bronson and Heston worked their way up from nothing, serving their country in war, and broke into Hollywood the hard way.

They really don't make 'em like like Charles anymore.

In space, no one can hear you scream. On IMDB, we can hear you but we just don't give a crap.

My favorite Charles Bronson film was 'Once Upon A Time In The West' Harmonica! That eerie tune he would play, especially in the begining of the film! He was our favorite tough guy, back in the 60's & 70's. 'Hard Times' was another great film he did. Then again, ALL his films were and still are GREAT to me.

"Happy Birthday", May his family remember him fondly.

I discovered recently he played Igor in House of Wax with Vincent Price, a very impressive and intense performance by Charles Bronson.

Happy Birthday :)
