Most overrated director in history?

Yes Pulp Fiction was good. But only because of the actors, not the script or direction. As for his other films the vast majority are junk. The nail on the coffin for me was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. How he could turnan important subject into something so poor is beyond me. I mean really: watching the two idiots Brad and Leonardo pretending to act is excruciating. And the taking of a true story and making it fake news some may like. I'm proud to say I'm not one of them!

I can't picture 20 years after he dies that people would still be talking about him like he's one of the best. I have a feeling people who decide to get interested in his films in the future will see though his constant schtick. His movies have a sameness. The characters in his Western, revenge, gangster, war and alleged horror film all talk the same.

It's hard to be as stupid as you, I commend you for that

His worst movie is better than most of the stuff that comes out these days.

I have to disagree with you pretty strongly.

He's all three kinds of FOOL; poor, plain, and damn.

reply

No, that title would go to Spike Lee.

I agree he's overrated. Do the Right Thing was his Magnum Opus, and 2nd Malcolm X. But most of his other films were mediocre at best.

Once upon a time in Hollywood was overrated, in my opinion. A three hour long movie about nothing, but literally nothing not the artistic kind of nothing where nothing actually tells you about life, and it got a standing ovation at my local cinema. For what? Bad impression of Bruce Lee and three hours of nothing special. That is just coasting on the account of name as far as I am concerned. His 90ties movies are masterpieces though, if you want to attribute that to actors or his editor, God bless her soul, you can attribute part of the success. No one does it by himself. He was the main creative force behind those movies though, I thought Inglorious basterds is a good movie and Death Proof as well.

I liked or loved every one of his movies, so no. I have to disagree.
