Of course, the media feels compelled to ridicule it.

isn't Mel one of those that complained about actors being involved in politics. And now he's basically a lobbyist for MAGA within the film industry.

In the 1950s, dumbfuck conservative movie stars blamed falling attendances and studio profits on supposedly unAmerican attitudes in Hollywood, instead of the rise of television and families spending their money on consumer goods for the home and other leisure activities that weren't available before, or the fact that the supreme court abolished the studio's ability to monopolise production and exhibition. The HUAC hearings achieved the square root of a dried shit stain in improving the movie business by "proper American attitudes" i.e.fearmongering, scapegoating and harassing if not blacklisting anyone vaguely un-conservative.

And now that streaming has decimated movie ticket sales, and younger audiences just don't have time or patience for features, we've got dumbfuck politicians and conservative dumbfuck movie stars doing the same bullshit that was a ridiculous waste of time and effort before.

How about if government doesn't meddle in art and entertainment? Isn't that what America is about?

Great news, hopefully Mel will now get to direct his Vikings epic that got canned post 2006.

reply

I’m confident Mel can direct any film he chooses. I think he let that project go once DiCaprio left the production.

reply

Now Mel can make a movie were Trump is King of New Roman Empire.

reply

If anyone could save Hollywood it would be Mel.

reply

Riggs and Rambo, together!

reply

He looks like one of those fence-hoppers Trump is trying to deport
