Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?
In my opinion he's without a doubt in the Top Five of living Hollywood actors, but somehow he doesn't quite get the same recognition as other super A-List Stars such as Robert de Niro, Al Pacino or Jack Nicholson. But he IS a HUGE Star and has never ever made a bad performance. I just think he deserves to be put up there where he rightfully belongs.
You are right about that, the media gossip has damaged Michael a lot and he certainly did not deserve to be treated like that.
shareI don't think any of his movies are that great. He is a well known name because of his Dad, and Streets Of San Francisco, and the movies with Kathleen Turner that were funny but lightweight. I think his best work was "The Kominsky Method" but S3 screwed that up.

It's kind of interesting that in The Kominski Method, he plays a drama teacher who never really had critically acclaimed career.
