I'm going into this film totally blind; I've never heard of it, have no idea what it's about, and don't even know what genre it is.

Although it seems like a horror/thriller based on the first 8 minutes.

reply

It's a family musical comedy about puppies.

reply

It's folk horror. I don't really think of it as horror though.

reply

THAT IS AN INTERESTING VOYAGE YOU ARE ON.

reply

Wow, that’s cool!

I still remember how excited I was to watch it when it came out.

reply

Which version of Midssommar is being watched?

reply

THE 2 HOUR AND 27 MINUTES VERSION?🤷🏻‍♂️

reply

Midsommar (2019)? Is there more than one?

reply

There is a director's cut which is longer, but we are watching the theatrical one, which is 2 hours and 27 minutes.

reply

I'm watching theatrical cut. the 2 hr and 28 minute one.

reply

I'm wathcing the 2 hr 36 minute version 🤷‍♂️

reply

Oooh....extended cut

reply

TOO MUCH MIDSOMMAR!...YOU STUDYING FOR A TEST?

reply

reply

LMAO...I SUPPOSE WE APPRECIATE THE SACRIFICE...BUT THE DAD IN ME...IS DISSAPOINTED AND WANTS TO TELL YOU TO GO DO YOUR DAMN HOMEWORK!

reply

I'm watching the theatrical cut.

reply

Christian is a whiny bitch.

reply

I've seen the director's first film, Hereditary, but have not seen his most recent one, Beau is Afraid.

reply

Another three hour long, psychological horror? Holy shit, how did I miss that?

reply

It's really good. You have to check it out.

reply

You just said you haven’t seen it yet!

????

reply

I meant Hereditary is really good, if you haven't seen that one.

reply

Oh no, that one is two hours long and I rated it 9/10 as it’s one of my favourite horror movie.

Midsommar I gave 7.5 and this is my first rewatch. I’m bluray. :)

reply

i would lose my mind if a sibling killed my parents and herself

reply

I don't know why but I like the POV of a conversation with a character in a mirror.

reply

IT REALLY MAKES THE CONVERSATION FEEL DISCONNECTED AND DISTANT
