Are humans really animals?

And does it really matter much or even reveal much that they are or is it by itself a fact?

reply

You got claws on your fingers and you'll eat every sample offered at Costco.

You an animal.

reply

Yes, we are. Sometimes, it occurs to me how funny it is that animals are clothed and doing things like riding horses.

The early Planet of the Apes movies would give me an interesting perspective about it since the roles of apes and humans were reversed.

reply

I AM A SEXY ANIMAL.

reply

Are humans vertebrates? Are humans mammals? The answer to those questions should lead you to the answer to your question.

reply

Yes. Humans share a lot of DNA with other animals, especially Chimpanzees. All animals are related (just like all life on Earth is related.)

reply

Except for cephalopods....they were brought here by aliens.

reply

Yep!

reply

It's a fact, and no one needs to care about it at all.
Like, "is a tree a physical thing?"
Yup. Moving on.

reply

Some people I know doubted it, just saying.

reply

Well, I'm not a mineral, or a vegetable. I would say I fall under the classification of animal.

reply

You may try it with the classification mammal. 🤓

reply

Well yes, that is a subcategory of animal, so I would certainly say I'm a mammal. :)

reply

I once heard Pail Lynde call someone an animal.
