Do you tailgate?

I will only do it if they are REALLY below the speed limit. Like come on, let's go, this is not cool.

But conversely, if I am basically doing the speed limit and someone sits on my tail, I will make sure I do the speed limit and not a mile over!

Lots of braking coming their way!

A couple of times before a Grateful Dead concert.

I was thinking the same, but here it’s for LSU games.

Yes they did.

overly cautious drivers are a danger.

reply

Going the speed limit is overly cautious?

reply

If they brake the second they go over, yes.

reply

It's more unsafe to ride peoples bumpers.

reply

Only if some asshole cuts me off. Then I only do it long enough to make my point and ease back.

reply

No, never.

🤨

reply

Smart.
Many moons ago in High School Driver’s Ed classes they taught the two Mississippi Rule. Pick a landmark, a tree, a telephone pole etc. and when the car in front of you passes it slowly count off two
Mississippies. If you pass the chosen landmark after a two count you’re in reasonable braking range if things should go South.

Better safe than dead or in a lawsuit👍

But how do you count if you're in the North or the Midwest?

🤨

reply

Oh you!!!
😄

🤣

reply

No.

reply

No and people who do are jerks.

reply

Agreed.
I see some real stupid behavior on the road, it’s a wonder half of these idiots aren’t dead or in a wheelchair.

reply

No. I never attend sporting events and I don't drink.

Booooring.

🤨

reply

Not at all. I have way more fun than all the drunks AND I remember it!

Booooring.

I'd rather my insurance premiums not go up. If you rear end someone, even if they stop short, you'll be at fault 100% of the time.

reply

I had an 18 wheeler unexpectedly rear end me and total my vehicle one day on the interstate. The driver kept mumbling about his breaks apologetically but he sure didn't have a problem pulling over on the shoulder and stopping behind me right after I did. I suspected he had fallen asleep behind the wheel. His insurance company compensated me beyond my expectations so I wound up with a newer and better vehicle, the silver lining to a dark cloud, although I had some retroactive whiplash and a bad backache to endure at work a couple of days later.
