Which of the big three burger joints (in the U.S. at least) is your favorite?
From fave to least fave:
Wendy's (Overall great quality in their menu)
McDonald's (Fries are awesome! I've grown to like their burgers as well. Nuggets are alright.)
Burger King (Fries could use some work but I like their burgers and chicken fries)

1) McDonald's - C'mon, all jokes aside, and it's unhealthy as hell, but they have the classic sandwiches we all know and love - Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, The McRib!!! Plus their Fries. No other fast food comes close.
2) Wendy's - As OP said, it is better quality.
3) Burger King - Not a fan. I've actually gotten cold hamburgers from BK before. They're not made when you order and they sit too long.
You missed some which are much better than Wendy's & Burger King. Carl's Junior for one since the burgers are always made fresh when you order. Jack in the Box for their Monster Taco et al.
I didn't put Carl's Jr. and Jack in the Box because they seem to be more regional (we have very few, if any, in the Chicago area for example.)

Also, Del Taco is big here. They have Mexican food like Taco Bell, but they also have hamburgers.
Carls Jr goes by the name Hardees in Florida.

But both of them are expensive and with average quality.

None of them. I've come to dislike Fast Food as an adult. Personally I'd rather cook a burger at home myself where I know I can season it right. The only reason I ever go to McDonald's, Burger King, or Wendy's is because my parents or my nephews and nieces want to eat there with me. But me, I think they all 3 suck.
