Foreign "English Language" movies

Do you like them? So I'm talking about British, Irish, South African, Australian and New Zealand movies.

Personally I'm yet to see a good one but I'm open to suggestions.

You have yet to see any good British movies? You've never seen any James Bond movies? The Italian Job? Get Carter? Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Ladykillers, The Third Man, Lawrence of Arabia, nothing by Monty Python? Alfie? How about Alfred Hitchcock as a filmmaker, or the fact that Kubrick made a tonne of work in England? Nothing?

It seems like you aren't looking.

I'm 20.

And you haven't seen any James Bond movies? Try some of those.

Everybody else has given a pretty thorough list of awesome Brit movies.

There's great cinema basically everywhere.

reply

I don't consider Bond to be a British film as it takes place all around the world with a diverse cast.

reply

Well, I have to disagree with you there. They are made by British studios, Brits write and produce them, star in them, etc.

What about Sherlock Holmes, then? The director's British, as is Jude Law.
