i didn't get it at all. thought it was just BS
after a few years i caught some other Buñuel works, watched this again.. and damn now it's one of my absolute favorites
The first time I saw Platoon as a teenager I didn't like it, but that's because action flicks like Commando and Rambo: First Blood Part II were all the rage, months later I saw it again on VHS and grew to enjoy it.

The People Under the Stairs (1991). I hated this movie because my older siblings forced me to watch it and it scared the bleep out of me. I watched it five years ago and loved it because it really was just a dark comedy which are one of my favorite genres.
