All midsize SUVs look the same!!

What in the world makes people want to drive around in these carbon copies? A Porsche Cayenne looks like a Hyundai Santa Fe which looks like a Ford Edge which looks like a Buick Envision which looks like a Toyota Highlander which looks like a Honda CR-V which looks like a Mitsubishi Outlander which looks like a Kia Sorento which looks a Jeep Cherokee which looks like a Ford Explorer which looks like a Lexus RX 350 which looks like a Subaru Forester which looks like every other SUV on the road. Just a boring bunch of little boxes on wheels.

What's with the SUV craze, anyway?

There’s a big demand for an urban tank and they don’t make Humvees any more.

The Humvee brand was discontinued in 2010. I was not aware that GMC re-introduced it this year.

Maybe because they are so practical? They are the station wagons of the 21st century.

I honestly don't think they're all that practical. I have a sedan (that I put a 60 inch TV in, easily) that serves every need I have and it drives better and is more stylish. These little boxes really only have a couple more cubic feet that it has.

I do. My sedan is AWD and it's a savage in the snow. My sports car doesn't leave the garage in winter.

Well, that kinds of looks like my Lexus UX, which I think is more like a hatchback than a big SUV. I'm small and my car is the perfect size for me, but I will probably never get another car that isn't some kind of SUV. AWD, sits up a little higher than a car - checks off all of the boxes for me.

My husband is disabled and uses a transport chair, ( a small wheelchair that folds into a compact size.). When we travel we not only have to pack suitcases, but also his chair and there is no way all of that will fit into a trunk.

I drive a Miata for fun and my SUV is for everything else.

The SUVs are really quite practical, we have a Chevy and a Ford...they kick butt in the snow and you can pack half of Walmart in the back🤘

A Miata sounds fun!

I find most vehicles are starting to look alike these last few years, I have a hard time finding mine in the gigantic Walmart or Home Depot parking lots

I'm a big dope in this story but here goes anyway...I stopped off at a Deli once on the way to visit my Sister, my kids wanted juices and I was just about out of smokes

I ran in, bought what I needed and came back out, hopped into the driver's seat and said something like 'So, Babe...' as I turned towards my Wife

It wasn't my Wife!
I had hopped into the driver's seat of some random family's car...Mom gasped audibly and did not know what to say, the little girl (14 maybe?) in the back seat let out a horror movie shriek and the boy back there didn't seem to notice, he was all about his smartphone

I made a terribly hasty apology, hopped into my actual car and raced out of there

Sounds made up but it happened, all these GD cars look alike today

That is so funny! I opened the door of a car that wasn't mine one time, but quickly realized my mistake.

I bought one last year and I agree. I walk out on the parking lot at work and any car on the lot could be mine! My previous car had a more distinctive look, but the new one drives better and has a warranty. That's why we want them! 😆

True.

The less of a "car guy" that you are the more they look alike.

Check out US cars of any year during the 60s and 70s, heck even the 80s.
Heck, look at any 2 or 3 year stretch in US history.
They look a lot alike.

The auto industry copies. That's what they do.
Most industries do this, LOL.

same here.. there's TOO MANY SUVs just everywhere..
people just pretend like they "need" more interior space, and they really don't
