I hated Diamonds Are Forever, but that is really a snapshot of the era so it belongs in the top 10... but so is Billy Jack...

IMO Get Carter is better than half of the top 10.

Wow. IMO this is the toughest year you've posted, to argue with the top 10.

I haven't seen The French Connection yet and several others.

I didn't like A Clockwork Orange outside of the opening shot. Near total misfire for me. The novel is much better.

You're very welcome... I'd be more than happy to give you more recommendations. Especially if you tell me what kind of things you look for, and if you name your favorite movies, I could probably narrow it down - I've seen about a thousand foreign movies. It's quite a learning experience on many different levels --- film, but also history, and film history.

Second to Easy Rider, it's one of the movies that I believe best represents the hippie 1970's mindset. Easy to see how newer generations would think it's strange. I'm Gen X and I think it's a bit strange.

Born Losers was the first movie done in 1967. I've never seen it and have ordered a DVD copy.
