What are some outdated advice that is no longer applicable today?
Well?
shareOne that comes to mind is advice my cousin's Grandpa (an inlaw of an aunt) gave to him when he had a crush on a girl as a kid. He said he should kiss the girl's hand. That was back in the early 90s. That wouldn't fly well in today's world.

TOO MANY PEOPLE KNOW!
That just seems like a dumb thing. In corrupt countries I could understand but in America you should keep your money in the bank. Otherwise you wind up losing it all if there's a fire in your home. Or if someone breaks into your home to rob it, it'll all be gone.

We had one of those when I was a kid in the 70s.
shareMy parents never had one but my grandmother did. When we visited the phone was frequently ringing in differing patterns. At least her neighborhood gossip wasn't subtle about it, not bothering to turn down her own television when she picked up the phone to listen in. Even when she didn't have the TV playing or some other noise going you could still hear her breathing.
