I'm definitely not a wine snob. I regularly drink Winking Owl Shiraz from Aldi and I think it is quite tasty especially for $3.49 a bottle.
Would I serve it at a dinner party? Nope. But it's a very drinkable wine that I would serve on the patio with friends for casual get togethers.

shareI do! I mostly like the sweet stuff though so I'm the exact opposite of a snob! Give me the $10 bottle that's all sugar please lol. I have tried bottles that are $50 and $100 and I just don't get it. Some of them are crap imo and all of them are not worth the money. Most of them compare to a good bottle you could get for $15-$20 or much worse.

shareI'll have to look for that and try it. I love Gnarly Head Old Vine Zinfandel - I can get it at Kroger for about $10, but at that price it's not something I drink every night. I enjoy wine with dinner and drink a couple of bottles each week, so I try to keep the price reasonable.
In addition to the Winking Owl Shiraz, I enjoy Beringer Main and Vine Chardonay for around $5 and in the summer, Yellow Tail Pino Grigio that is around $6.
It's a pretty cool brand and they even put Snoop Dogg on a label recently. The prices for each bottle range from $8.99 to $11.99.

I love shiraz. My favourite is from Aldi too! It's got a red gheko or something on the label. It's about £4 a bottle. Can't remember the name but I'd recommend it over similarly priced Hardy's or Lindeman's which are both about £6 a bottle.

shareI've just looked, its called Kooliburra from South Eastern Australia. It may have a different name in different countries 🤷♀️. Definitely only available at Aldi though. ( in Britain at least) .
They do a merlot too with a purple label.
Red and white are fine. I rarely drink it though.
