Why did women push the breastfeeding thing so hard?

Free the nipple has died down, mostly because it has been replaced by other equally unimportant distractions. But what was the deal with that? I just saw a pic a girl posted of her breastfeeding, and it caught me off guard. I’m not “offended” by it, but I don’t really think it’s appropriate or necessary.

What really bugs me about it is the double standard. They are APPALLED by dick pics, and constantly criticize males for shirtless pics. It doesn’t matter that their motive, desexualizing their bodies, is different. It’s all part of the nauseating feminist agenda.

The common talking point was “it’s a natural and beautiful part of the human experience.” First of all, it is not beautiful, breasts themselves might be but not a secreted substance coming out of them. Urinating is a natural function, does anyone want to see that? I don’t think so. I don’t care what any guy says, he doesn’t want to see a woman other than his wife breastfeeding.

They promote it because it's the natural way to provide nutrients to a baby. Some mothers have concerns about the use of infant formula:

Breastfeeding is a natural and normal way to feed a baby. I don't think there is anything inappropriate or wrong with a woman breastfeeding in public or posting a breastfeeding picture. A dick pic is completely different from a breastfeeding picture, so I don't think it is accurate to compare the two. Urinating and breastfeeding are very different functions so again you can't compare the two. Just because you personally don't want to see it doesn't mean other guys wouldn't want to see it. I bet most men would like to watch a woman breastfeed if they had the opportunity.

I think that a mother breastfeeding her child is something beautiful. And this is no joke or perv or anything similar. It's just beautiful, it's an image that conveys motherhood and true femininity, those things that have become so politically incorrect nowadays.

If women want to breastfeed, I have no problem with that. The only exception was when a lady in Britain objected to the fact that she wasn’t allowed to breastfeed in an indoor public swimming pool (and I mean actually whilst in the water). I wouldn’t expect to be allowed to eat a sandwich in a swimming pool, so...

Everyone is talking about how breastfeeding is "beautiful" while ignoring the real issue. Breastfeeding is one of the very best things a mother can do for their baby. It literally jumpstarts a healthy life. There's rafts of info on it so I won't even touch on that but a LOT of new mothers are unaware of just how important it is. I think it should be heavily promoted.

It's very heavily promoted in the maternity wards in the UK. The midwives really encourage new mothers to breastfeed.

As they should. :)

Breastfeeding is a nice thing.

JUST WAIT UNTIL BABIES GROW TEETH AND USE IT ON NIPPLES. YEOW!! YEOW! THOSE MOTHERS WILL WANT TO GO BACK TO BOTTLE FEEDING AND DUMP THEIR BABIES INTO A DRY DARK CORNER TO DO THEIR FEEDING!
