Why do people break up?

It's not a troll and I broke up with a few girlfriends in the past and been dumped. It's a genuine question.

I mean, isn't it more simple to work on the issues rather than just giving up? Because finding a new partner is way harder than stick to what we know. And I don't think that any issue cannot be fixed. Humans are made to overcome things and work on themselves.

I think about that because where I live a guy just murdered his children to take revenge on his ex (mother of the children). If the said ex wouldn't have dumped him, the children would still be alive. This saddens me.

1/ one person loses interest and dumps the other.

2/ one person feels they have better prospects elsewhere and dumps the other.

3/ one person catches the other cheating and dumps them.

4/ both people lose interest and break up.

5/ something changes like a job offer interstate etc makes relationship hard to sustain.

In regards to the dark scenario you posted perhaps the woman didn't suspect he would become so twisted?

Yeah this one is being a total human garbage. If you are such an asshole and don't have human decency, stay single and do not poison other people.

The only way one can have total freedom is to live alone and uncommitted to another. By "total freedom" as I stated, I mean the options to do whatever, whenever they decide. Where as if your living with a significant other or not but you feel committed to them and may feel the need to ask them if it's alright to go out tonight to meet up with some friends. Or if you just want to be alone and they get their nose put out if joint, wondering, don't they want to be with me?

People break up all the time. Sometimes the relationship just isn't meant to be, and both parties are better not being together. It's especially important to consider and implement if there was dishonesty or abuse is involved.
