I'm considering one... but 4K doesn't wow me like HD did. I thought DVD was plenty good, but when I first saw a HD TV I was blown away. It was like VHS to DVD! I've got to have an HD TV like right away!
4K was like meh. It's better, but 1080p is good enough for me.
I don't have one. It does look amazing with native 4K content.

I've never seen a real 8K TV with real 8K content so I'm quite interested actually. But yeah, price is mostly unrealistic for now. I'll probably skip 4K and go straight to 8K when it becomes affordable.

It's definitely not the upgrade that HD was from SD TV. I really don't notice much of an improvement, to be honest. The TV wasn't that much more expensive that regular HD though, so I don't regret it.
Yeah the jump of picture quality to HD was the key for me to ditch my entire DVD collection and go 100% digital. When they duke it out between HD DVD and BluRay, I didn't want to pick the loser side so I didn't buy both. Even 720p was clearly better than DVD.

shareI have a good size monitor for my desktop. When I sit right in front of it, I can see everything reeeeeally well! Like having a big screen.
When I watch movies in bed, it's on an iPad mini. Better than a phone, not as good as a laptop. But I watch from about a foot away, so it's decent enough and has good resolution.

shareI do. 43 inch. Got it during the black friday sales. I use it as my computer monitor and bedroom tv. The resolution upgrade was really noticeable for my laptop. It gave me a lot more room. Better clarity.
You notice the difference playing blu-rays as well. They up the resolution even if the disc is just HD. TV? No difference as TV in australia is Standard definition and low quality HD.
Yeah that's what I had in mind if I'd get one, hook it up to my PC. My 1080p tv is already connected tho' and it was seamless because my computer monitor is also 1920x1080 so they work together pretty well.
If I were to obtain a 4K TV I'll have to upgrade my monitor too because running dual screen setup with different resolutions is annoying.
