Gremlins. Daddy, dressed as Santa, falls down the chimney and dies from a broken neck.

If we could extend this to TV shows, the Married. . . With Children episode where shopping-mall-helicopter-parachuting Santa PLUMMETED TO HIS DEATH and fell past the Bundys’ picture window. That was when I fell in love with Married . . . With Children.
