You can include bisexuals as well.
I like Luke Evans seeing as he's both a good actor and you'd never guess he was gay.
I say that because Actos like Neil Patrick Harris ooze their gayness and it annoys me pretending that he's into girls.

Your last sentence makes no sense...gay actors often play straight people, and straight actors play gay people. And i think that's the way it should be.
If anyone wants to insist that actors should be cast as per their gender then i would argue it makes nonsense of the whole profession...because the point of acting is to play someone you are not.
That's why i have an issue with casting to type, casting actors who are a 'good fit' for a role, whether physically or otherwise.
Casting someone who looks ans sounds like the person they are playing is unimaginative. Wheres the challenge for the actor?
