Should marijuana be legalized in all 50 states?

I understand people have personal aversions to pot, but I don't understand why some think it should stay illegal when the harm its prohibition has caused is obvious, not to mention it is vastly safer than alcohol, which is both socially acceptable and widely available - encouraged even. Have you seen the latest polls for? For the first time, the majority of Republicans favor legalization on he Federal Level. The polls range from 51% - 56%

I didn't vote for Trump, but I respect him for respecting States' Rights concerning Recreational and Medical Marijuana. He has said many times that he will not use Federal Resources to go after States that have legalized it. And honestly, he could do himself a favor by beating the Democrats in legalizing it, since almost all of them said they will if elected.
