A little bit of everything except this decade’s music.
A little 80s, 90s and 00s I’m on a nostalgia phase music wise.
I’m always in a nostalgia phase, so much so that it can hardly be called a phase anymore. I don’t want to stomp on toes but I really dislike most of the new music in most genres.
shareOkay I guess then I should stop calling it a phase too, I’ve been in nostalgia mood since I guess 2015.
But since my whole life I have had a sort of old soul, I did like very much the music I grew up with but I mean in 2004 between so many young artists I could have become a fan of so many I grew up with but I was much into Madonna.
I did like very much the music I grew up with Spice girls, Aqua, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, N Sync.
But the artist I’ve become the biggest fan of have been from the 80s

I’m not familiar with this guy but he has a really good voice👍
shareHe is pretty bad ass for a fat guy.
Here is him with Hollywood Undead

Signed, million man.
Very good👍
It sounds like Hillbilly Hip Hop but I’m not sure that’s a thing.
I liked it.
He really should drop a hundred pounds, he looks like a young dude, he’d add a decade or two to his life by just driving past Wendy’s and walking his dog a lot. Good luck to him.

Love them all, but especially "Volunteers." Jorma really lets it rip on that one!

Awesome! Both are great, but "Embryonic Journey" is my favorite Jorma song (and one of my all-time favorites). When I went to Jorma's Fur Peace Ranch back in September 2002, that one the one piece I wanted him to play, but he didn't play it! (He had just got done recording "Blue Country Heart" and was in the middle of composing songs that would be on his next release called "Stars In My Crown.")
He's such a great guitarist...I'm enjoying listening to these on an endless Summer night! ❤
Some more Jorma faves of mine (not including the many songs he's covered)

Awesome! I love "Water Song!" That's one that he played for us, but he didn't teach it. I finally learned it out of a guitar magazine around 10 years ago or so. It's not overly difficult to play, but the genius of Jorma is how he took basically three different sections and styles of playing and molded it into one great song. He is such a great guitar player! ❤
shareGoing "old school" this week...love the guitar solo in this song (This was one of the first guitar solos I learned to play years ago...I just love it!):
"Soldier Boy" - The Shirelles

I posted this in tcrum's "sad song" thread, but I'll post it here also. Eric Clapton wrote this about the death of his 4-year old son...I wish he had included it on his "Unplugged" CD, but he didn't. Such a beautiful chord progression, but what a sad song: "Circus."
