Skid Row had some hits, I liked them.
They had good vocals and speed.

Your Daughter will conquer the world, Pop-Dukes always keeps an eye on his Princess!
Arguably the biggest job in the world is raising tough, resilient kids.
She sounds like a champ.
Proper job.

The 80s channel on Sirius XM.
shareCool.
I like 80s stuff.
I’m listening to old Linda Ronstadt stuff, she’s more 70s but still, gotta love the classics👍
I'm just reclaiming my teen years in the 80s because my dad didn't let me listen to pop and rock music!
shareWow, harsh dad!
Well, at least he had good intentions, whatever they may have been.
He thought I would become Satan's minion if I listened to it, and a lesser reason was that he hated noise.
shareSome parents did go a bit bananas over the rock music back in the early 80s, it was probably an extension of that ‘Satanic Panic’ nonsense.
The folks thought we were all headed to madness and hell because of Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest…nearly all of us became school teachers, nurses, cops, civil servants etc.
Now they call us to drive them to the Doctor or to shovel the snowy walkway. Be sure to blast some Metal when you go over there😎🤘
I remember the rock music is a direct portal to hell mania with the backmasking seminars churches were putting on. My dad was more concerned with the frontmasking (my own word) of the lyrics. He thought they promoted degenerate behavior.
Yes, you are correct. Somehow all of these kids grew up to be productive members of society who also take care of aging parents. I wish I could blast the hardest rock channel on Sirius with my dad, but he's gone now.
Sorry about your Dad, I still have mine. It’s not a fun relationship but it’s OK I guess.
shareThank you. I would love to be able to ask my dad all the questions I've thought of about his life since his passing that I never thought to ask before.
I wish you and your dad the best!
Oh, I suppose we will speak again, we just annoy each other a great deal. We don’t get along well but he’s a very decent man.
