I don't know why I remember, but it was 1999. The good ol' dial-up days. 🙄 I decided it was time because my children seemed to need it for school stuff. I have a photo of a time when some good family friends of mine were gathered around my computer, amazed at what they saw.
shareIt was 93 or 94 when the office nerd (who's self confessed job role was to find interesting tech) was very excited to show me the new Mosaic browser. It was already a pretty high tech place to work with Sun Workstations and networking and he'd figured out how to tunnel through to the world wide web. Search engines didn’t exist and the home page was a list of links to all web sites on the internet at that time. It wasn’t a big list. I browsed the entire internet in about 30 minutes.
shareMid 90's I went on some chat room and had no idea what was happening. I've never done well in chat rooms so many people talking at once they all seem to know each other!
