Every year the film industry throws up a few mainstream lipstick lesbian films.
No real story. Often a woman falls in love with a teacher, or a teenage girl has an affair with her boyfriend's mother. Or something else equally tedious.
All of these films are to attract guys. A lesbian fantasy. Really boring.
Dull, dull, dull.

shareI agree with the OP. I'm female and I get the dirty raincoat guys who like these films. There's been loads out in the last few years. 'Tell It to the Bees' is one recent film that didn't have much story. Just an excuse to see two naked women kiss and soft porn make out on a bed.
There are also movies with an unecessary (to the story) lesbian element - ie, Atomic Blonde.

I saw Atomic Blonde and I agree, the lesbian side story seemed gratuitous. Whereas the lesbian sex scenes in Black Swan seemed central to that story.
