What don't you miss about being a kid?
Going back to school. Those ads that start popping up on TV around late July/early August always fill me with dread.

shareDitto on going back to school.
shareI’m with you on the back-to-school TV ads that started in freaking JULY. The only saving grace was that, back then, the new TV season began at the same time as going back to school. We did not have to wait till October or November to start getting new episodes of our favorite series. We got punishment/reward. Today, returning schoolgirls/boys get punishment/repeat/repeat/lame-ass “summer” place-holder final episodes of a one-off series produced by someone’s son-in-law/reward. On the other hand, today’s youth has streaming. Eureka: FUCK network TV; but that, and fire and the wheel, were all that we had, when I was a boy.
shareI would scream at those ''Go back to school'' ads ..Especially in July..
shareObligatory family time. Don't miss that. Now "I'm going to work" or "I'm busy" will suffice - even if by busy, you mean you're making nachos and watching trashy tv instead of hanging out with people you don't like.
shareMean teachers
Being forced to try food I hate
Being forced to go to bed when not tired
Being forced to hang out with mean cousins or the idiot kids of my parents’ friends
Orthodontics
Lunch box and school cafeteria food
Gossips, bullies, cliques and drama
Pop quizes, tests, exams and term papers
Homework
The SAT
