What don't you miss about being a kid?
Going back to school. Those ads that start popping up on TV around late July/early August always fill me with dread.

shareI enjoyed being a kid. My life felt free, I was blissfully naive yet pretty smart. I had neighborhood friends who later were deemed socially inept, but I liked them at the time, no judgements. Parents let me run around free, I rode my bike a lot, no helmet. Not very many worries back then.
I wish I had been a little cooperative to my Mom. She was the Sweetest Woman In The World, but I didn't want to help set the table for dinner, etc. Didn't want to be asked to do stuff, even politely, not by Mom.
Don't get the wrong idea, we got along fabulously in the long run, but I'm sure I was sometimes a trial, and I regret that.
All you parents out there - tell your kids, be nice to me now or you will feel bad later !!
Being dragged along with my mom when she had to run boring errands. Is there any slower unit of time as a kid than waiting in line at the bank on a Saturday? Mind you this is before everything was direct deposit and ATM machines everywhere.
shareNow when I see the back to school ads, I laugh like an evil motherfucker, knowing they don't mean shit to me now.
