Imagine..

you are allowed a one hour performance from your favorite musician/band! How lucky?! Who would you choose?

reply

David Bowie.

reply

John Lennon.
I would love to hear, Working Class Hero live.

reply

For a while there Pollock, I though it would be about John Lennon's "Imagine" song, I suppose you too have heard it, right?

reply

Yep.

reply

Toughie. I'd go Lauryn Hill.

reply

I'm not sure who I would choose, depends on the day. At this moment, I would probably love to see Maroon 5 or The Outfield.

reply

Radiohead, here's my setlist that would be able to run about an hour

No Surprises
Just
2+2=5
Karma Police
The National Anthem
Faust Arp
Reckoner
Idioteque
All I Need
Nice Dream
Street Spirit
Talk Show Host
Lotus Flower

reply

Nice! I like that you actually picked the songs :)

reply

Also thought of one for The Beatles, my second choice.

reply

I'm curious! Please share.

reply

Happiness is a Warm Gun
Strawberry Fields Forever
Hey Jude
Eleanor Rigby
I Am the Walrus
Across the Universe
Penny Lane
Hello Goodbye
Sexy Sadie
Something
A Day in the Life
Come Together
Let it Be
I Feel Fine
Twist and Shout

That should add up to about an hour. Although come to think of it most of them come from their studio era and were not played live. They'd need a string section or whole orchestra with them to do these.

reply

Today would be

Townes Van Zandt or
The Black Keys

Originally I read your OP as "you are allowed a one hour performance *with* your favorite musician/band!" In which case my first wish, in order to live out this fantasy, would have to be to give me some musical talent first!

Regardless, it's a really good, very hard question.

I guess, tying into Shogie's thread, I'd have to say the Beatles. There are lots of others, but in the end, gun to my head, yeah, the Beatles.
