I'd love to be Nora Charles. Naturally, I'd want to hang out with my husband, Nick!
If this is confusing anyone, I'm talking about Myrna Loy and William Powell in those great Thin Man movies. I love that time period, the clothes, the drinking! The adventure!
I love the relationship that couple shared.
Great fun! Great Thread!
That's our Baby!
Well, until the last "episode" so to speak. Wasn't I expecting in that last one?
In any case, Asta is the BONUS! When Nick is farting around, who else do I have to amuse me????
Well, we are working on this case, but I have the feeling he may try to ditch me when he thinks things are getting a bit too dangerous. He always does that! Won't he be surprised when I don't show up to bail him out?
Speed dial, eh? I like it. You are already #1
You getting plastered too?
You are just like him! Charming too!
Why do I always fall for you rascals????
I gotta go. I promised myself that i would only come to General Discussion this weekend in order to answer any posts. I'm doing my best to stick to only individual boards. So far, I'm enjoying it!
I will write a report on my Survey Says thread on Monday.
Catch ya later! Stay out of trouble. You and Nick really do need me!
Thanks, yep there'd be a hell of a lot of expectation on you as Superman but being able to whoosh of to some nice beach in minutes outweighs all the hassle 👍
Hell yeah! Sail the Seven Seas and come home to Sophie!
And he's about the only person listed so far that I would actually like to be, because he's a cheerful and confident person, who doesn't make himself unhappy with neuroses and internal conflicts. He does his duty as best he can, and then goes forward without looking back, something I wish I was better at doing myself.
Many thanks to godewey for guest-hosting this afternoon's episode of Benny's Question Time!

Ok, Mr. Dewey. this may seem to be a lame, cop-out answer, but I would say Superman.
Yes, it's a little boring because he is invulnerable etc. But an interesting moral dilemma arises in trying to answer your follow-up questions.
A person with Superman's powers could save hundreds, if not thousands of lives everyday. So to answer "What would I do?
Who am I rollin with?"...I first have to answer: "How do I live with knowing that 1,000 people died because I played golf
this afternoon?" Like, how do you even take a day off knowing that many people will die without your help? Help that you can give without any risk to yourself. It's unlikely to so much as tire you.
Hmmmm. I wonder if there is a way to feel better about this, or if I just need to pick a different character? A non-superhero character, because I would think the same dilemma applies to most of the supes.
