Which movie character....

would you most like to be and and which one would you like to hang out with?

Would you be a doctor, go to space, play sports, sail a ship, feel what it's
like to be a serial killer, a great lover, a war hero etc...?

Who would you want to hang out with?
Somebody smart, rich, funny, hot, strong?

Name your people.

reply

Sherlock Holmes
" The game's afoot. "

reply

That's a great pick.

I never would have considered Holmes but why wouldn't you want to be him.

reply

You misunderstood; he is the character I would want to be. I used to absorb the stories like a sponge as a boy.

reply

I got that. After I read what I said it was confusing.

I was saying he would be a great character to be.
Kind of why wouldn't anybody want to be Sherlock Holmes. It wouldn't make sense not to.
Do nothing but solve crimes would be very cool.

You already have that instinct in you so it makes perfect sense.

reply

Now I understand how you were trying to express that response. It got lost in the internet translation.

reply

Lost in translation is the story of my life. ;)

reply

Coupled with blackened grey matter, that sounds really morose ( chuckling emoji ).

reply

lol
Just another chapter.

reply

A good one

reply

Who would i be?
Bond, James Bond...

Hes smooth, daring, handsome and a hit with the ladies
All of the things i wanted to be when i grew up...
Im 45 btw:(

Who would i hang out with?
Probably Will Ferrell from Old School
We would get along famously!

reply

Bond is another good natural pick.
I never thought of him either.

I'm pretty sure you're the closest to Bond that I've seen.

Ferrell in Old School is perfect.
That's a guy who I'd want to party with.

reply

Love Bond!

You are FAR too kind lol!

Lets be honest dewey...im pretty certain weve both partied with lunatics like him...wed be living the wrong way if we hadnt🍻

reply

Let's be real honest. There's a good chance I was or maybe still AM him.

reply

Well i sort of assumed so but didnt want to appear presumptious;)

reply

I figured you knew it but I do appreciate you being tactful about it.

reply

Learned tact from the best my good man

reply

You must be self taught. 🥰

reply

Project Alice
James Gordon

reply

So you'd like to hang out with the commissioner.
Why is that?

reply

It's not a commissioner yet.In gotham he's still a captain,I like his style,always stuborn - like me - he doesn't ever give up

And his a very classy guy,if you noticed

reply

Makes sense.

reply

Shane

reply

I thought you'd go for John Wayne in The Searchers.
Or maybe old Mose.

reply

I always felt that Shane was having an affair with the ranchers wife in that film, or at the very least there was some mutual attraction between. What do you think?

reply

I sensed an attraction there, that's not unusual, in fact it's to be expected. Men are attracted to women that are pretty or charming or admirable.

However, Shane seemed to be a good man, he wasn't the sort to carry on with a married woman.
That's just sleazy and Shane was no dirtbag.

You know how Shane is an awesome guy?
He just 'Irish Goodbye's' people at the end, he rides off with few words spoken to find another fight in another small town somewhere far way...and maybe he gets shot down there, Shane lived by a code.

reply

Withnail.
He has some of the best lines ever and I try to shoehorn as many into my life as I can as it is.

He also has a rich uncle with a cottage in the country.

reply

You already have the Cava so it makes sense.
Having a rich uncle kind of finalizes the deal doesn't it.

reply

How about you Bren?

reply

Dewey would want to be Captain Quint.
Sailing around all day, drinking rum and singing sea shanty's. What's better?
If you're going out anyways why not go out with some pizazz.

I would like to hang out with Vince Vaughn's character from Swingers.
Seems like he would be a fun sort of chap.

Bren (I do love the nickname) would hang out with either Gatsby, Thomas Crown or Scrooge McDuck.
Somebody with some cash. I'm not getting any younger and mama needs a new pair of shoes!

reply

Quint is such a great answer, the only drawback being spending your last hours with Dreyfuss!

reply

I did think of that.
I thought I could get a young girl (of legal age of course) to hang with him.

I'm sure that would make him happy.

reply

Tony Stark for both.

reply

So you want to hang out with yourself?

I could see that.

reply

Ok, Tony Stark and J.a.r.v.i.s.

reply

That's much better!

reply

My backup answers for "Which one would you like to hang out with?" are:

Tony Soprano
Aldous Snow (having seen an entire movie about someone hanging out with him: Get Him to The Greek)
Jackie Moon
Sydney Fife (I know you know this one.)

Oh yeah, and godewey!

reply

You may not want to stand in front of or behind Soprano for that matter.
Cruising around with Sydney on his moped = great times. He's a modern day warrior.

"Inside of you
There's got to be
Some part of me
Inside of you"

Now you're just going to make cry.

reply

I'd like to be...The Devil.

I'd like to hang out with...God.

Only because to do it the other way around would make me seem egotistical to some folk.

reply

Egotistical? Toi?

reply

I know right!

But some people are deluded Dazed and insist on projecting their own misgivings onto humble old me, I mean I can take it but it'd be nice every now and then for one of them to at least say thanks for being there for them 😊

reply

Thank you for being there for me.
Sincerely.
😊

reply

I....I....I mean to say.....erm...

😭

reply

I think there may be a general consensus that you’re already one of these characters.
I won’t say which one but feel that it may be tipping to one side more than the other.

Whatever side it is just know I’ll be there to try to balance it out for you. ☮️

reply

I don't think many here would consider me God Dewey and so I think I've selected a role I'm quite suited to.

Don't forget god apparently made everything and so there's still purpose in being the devil!

reply

It's like you were chosen for this particular role.
It's one I do enjoy.

There will always be a purpose for you here.

reply

Well, the devil is in the details Dewey.

As god intended I'm sure 😜

reply

Amen.

Here endeth the lesson.

reply

Prior to ending, can we maybe change "What" to "Which" in the thread title? 😊

reply

You know I probably wouldn’t do it for anybody else.

It was just gnawing at you wasn’t it?

reply

It was, but I wanted to make sure we got through all the small talk first prior to asking.

😘

reply

I'd like to be Tom Cody, kickin' ass and kissing (among other things) singer Ellen Aim in the rain.
Why?
Because as you can see below, young Diane Lane was so ridiculously hot!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCIrPJ6SBl4
"But it's only a dream ..."

reply

Excellent choice.

If it is a dream at least I can dream about you.
