The Best non-conformist move was a 1970 made for television film starring Jan Michael Vincent about a hippie drafted into the Marines titled The Tribe.....a hippie in the Marines, need I say more?

hanks for the Youtube heads up. It was ballyhooed when it was released. It might seem a little dated today but back in the day it made a statement, albeit a tad simplistic.

MASH ('70) and the MASH TV series both had a very cool, non-conformist vibe

Catch-22 as well

Stuck in absurd situations, many of the characters acted out
