Legislators in Georgia and Arizona are advancing bills that would allow illegal immigrant students to pay in-state tuition at state schools, though American citizens from other states would still pay out-of-state tuition.

The law is very specific. It does not preclude states from providing in-state tuition to undocumented residents of the state as long as nonresidents in similar circumstances also qualify. The tuition equity measures are fully consistent with federal law.

In a nutshell...it’s breaking federal law to provide in-state tuition to illegals and not to out of state U.S. Citizens.

But, what the hell! Who follows federal law nowadays? The adage: “It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission!” comes in to play here.

So, this is my advice. Go to Mexico, renounce your U.S. citizenship...then cross back over as an illegal! The rewards out weigh being a U.S. citizen! 🤷🏼‍♀️

The larger issue here is the obsession we have with "higher education." Resources are limited. No one seeds to spend 16+ years in a classroom (unless you're a scientist who is ALWAYS going to be in classrooms, seminars, etc)

For the Democrats, there's lots of SEIU contributions from universities. For the Republicans, there's lots of grift in fees, interest, and debt slavery, as well as taxpayers paying to weed out the labor force for the Fortune 500.

Cross-reference Betsy DeVos bleating that we need take more money from taxpayers to give to private schools. I could run the Department of Education all by myself: Beverly Hills High School has 1 bunsen burner per student? Nathan Bedford Forrest High School has half as many? OK I'll go on Amazon and have them there tomorrow...

Yes, that's what I think scientists do, they're all teachers, in classrooms, cuz I'm really stupid.

I'm guessing your scientist friend has more continuing professional education hours since he got his university degree, than he completed during his university education.

You have to prove you are a legal resident to qualify for in-state tuition. Illegals can't do that since their legal residence is their home countries. Seems to me that if this passes then it would effectively outlaw the practice of allowing different rates for in-state and out of state students.

Hey! Don’t knock the messenger because you don’t like the message. There are other sources to verify. The following is one. I’m not aware of it’s political leanings. The trouble with you libs is if the source is conservative you don’t believe it. Why not fact check? You may find it difficult though because the left wing media doesn’t deal in truth so they ignore. We have to ferret out a fact by reading other sources.
