Don’t listen to these haters. Pfeiffer did an incredible job. She was sultry and sexy and way better then the dull relationship between the two brothers. The movie was boring because it should have focused more on the three of them vs the Bridges brothers fights.
Pfeiffer also doesn’t have to have a Mariah Carey singing voice to be good on stage. It’s her charismatic and sexual delivery that nails it, and the audiences were swooned.
She was robbed of the academy award. Jessica Tandy had a much easier role.

What does Gregory Peck do in the movie besides wear really ugly sweaters and look sullen? He barely speaks over a whisper, has no sense of humor, and puts me to sleep when he’s rambling on during the court scenes. If he was such a great lawyer he would have won the case. Instead the jury actually believed that dumb hick woman with the eduction of a 5 year old.
