Mare is 1,000x superior writing and acting.
No original thoughts, I see. Just 🤮 the same buzz word. That’s so 🙄
There’s no season two, which is the right decision
I think you’re looking for Leave it to Beaver and the 1950’s.
His career was not the same though. It was an incredibly sad story.
Just following along your thought process. I mean if we are going to blame Jesse for the plane load of people, seems only fair that Saul is responsible as well.
Btw, There really were no happy endings except I would argue Walter because he was only taken down by his cancer which was inevitable. He got to leave his kids millions. He kept his wife out of jail. Everything he wanted, he got.
Jesse’s only fault was he didn’t “snitch” on Walt sooner. Could have saved many lives. Can’t believe viewers don’t see the head games Walt put on him. If you F with someone’s head enough times, it’s human nature that they snap. So really, Jesse turning on him, is all on Walt.
Well, then by default Saul killed all those people too because he brought Walt together with Gus and kept the enterprise running which triggered all those deaths so technically Saul has killed like 100 people. And ruined Howard’s character. Unless that’s on Jesse too.
I think that while Kim will always feel guilt over Howard, she will go on to make amends through her legal pro bono work. And feel admiration for jimmy stepping up. While jimmy came to terms with his actions. He will rock the jailhouse I’m sure. I thought it was emotionally uplifting myself.
I see it completely different. I always thought that when jimmy felt hurt by those he loved, it was when he lashed out the most. When his brother hurt him, he responded by getting his insurance canceled. His treatment of Kim signing the divorce papers was not a sign that he was over her, but that he still loved her and acting out was the only way he knew how to respond. So when she said what she said on the phone, it was a natural progression that he would get careless, acting out from a place of rejection.
It’s really no wonder after chuck died, he slipped into a pseudo character.
He gets her respect again. She would not have accepted him if he’d connived that deal. That was Saul and she was never in love with him.
This was never Breaking Bad. I think viewers got over zealous with wanting violence after Nacho and Howard. It’s the right end. Jimmy can finally look himself in the mirror and Kim will get to help those in need of legal aid. Howard gets his reputation back.
I’m always fascinated with the Walter apologists. I wonder if the law would have felt that way.
I recall the scene where he acted all broke up with Jesse over the little boys death and as Jesse was leaving the house he heard him whistling and singing while he cooked. That’s who Walt was….
Walt was never Jesse’s friend. He only cared about him to a point. A means to an end for him. Walt was always who he was - that was evident when he walked away from gray matter and played the victim. Even he himself told his wife that he was the danger.
Who could forget when he sent in the poor lady neighbor into his house to scope out the bad guys. What a Nice guy.
I think most watchers are seasoned BBers and are skilled in picking up the nuances of Vince and now Peters writing. I thought it was well played. Tho I admit I pegged Marion bringing him down as soon as I saw Carol was not just a guest spot.
She was suspicious that he knew ABQ bonds law and Nebraska as well. That on to hot her seeing something go down in the garage and her son calling him. It was a lot of little things, combined with her suspicious nature. It felt like a natural turn if events for me.
Guilt
I must have watched a different show. Walt was not just bad, but evil. His ego destroyed many lives. As Mike told him, “we had a good thing with Fring”. But Walt couldn’t stand to not be in control. He killed Mike (who was as close to a morally good but bad guy). He destroyed his family, kidnapped his daughter just to get back at his wife, etc etc etc. Abuser and a murderer.
Saul is not much better since he was a catalyst for all things Walt, he just kept his hands clean of all death that he was a part of.
Not everyone is willing to watch a documentary, so if it’s close to accurate then yes, a film can expose more people to this historical event.
I have no issues with Ron Howard, generally seems to be a decent human. Except for that god awful Hillbilly Elegy. He has to have regrets about that disaster…
